Ervin's Civil War service and also includes general Civil War History and a brief genealogy of the Ervin and Slater families. Also included here is "Random Reminiscences" which provides some childhood memories of Thomas W. Ervin, as well as a letter to his cousin William E. Ervin, a prominent attorney in Hartford City (1961).
