Scope and Contents This collection contains copies of the constitution and by-laws of the Indiana Educational League and a May 1, 1891 letter that were sent to city and county school superintendents regarding the formation of the League. The collection also includes typewritten notes regarding the history of the short-lived organization copied in 1927 from clippings in Alexander Knisely’s scrapbook.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a assignment book containing 3 handwritten editions of the "Barnett Academy Star" from 1865. Numbered 1 through 3, each draft lists two student editors and has articles, editorials, letters to the editor, notices, and poems and other short essays written by various students. The assignment book also has several undated lists of last names, presumably students, and an undated draft of a letter addressed to C. P. Ferguson by an unknown author.

Scope and Contents This collection includes the Indiana Common Schools diploma awarded to Bradford Richarson of District No. 6, Hensley Township, Johnson County, Indiana. Signed June 14, 1901 by the county superintendent and trustee, the certificate states that Richardson had passed a "creditable examination in Orthography, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Geography, English, Grammar, Physiology and United States History."
