This collection includes 3 account books kept by Daniel Curtis for his farm and tile businesses containing entries ranging from 1879 to 1888. Volume 3 also has entries made by Aetna Curtis ranging from 1908 to 1914 and a three page Purdue University Agricultural Extension Department publication about farming in Montgomery County along with a "Summary of the Year's Business" form filled out for Aetna's farm from 1916.

This collection contains a transcript and an audiotape reel of an oral history with Edward Beecher Bender conducted with Tom Krasean for the Indiana State Library on October 31, 1968. Bender discusses growing up on a farm, his association with the Ku Klux Klan and Indiana politics during the 1920s, the Boone County R.E.M.C. and farming in the 1960s.
