Lewman is presumed to be John Burel Lewman, Edward Hughes’ cousin. The letter discusses business dealings and finances and mentions the location of Eastman and Hamilton. Lewman also mentions "Winnie," most likely his brother Winn Clare “Winnie” Lewman.
