Kitzinger as qualified to teach a common school in Dubois County, Indiana. The collection also includes a February, 1934 typed summary of Mr. Kitzinger's teaching record (1851-1864) written by his grandson, Robert E. Eckert, and based on information found in John T. Melchior's 1933 history of early pioneers in and around Jasper, Indiana.
