This collection includes a five page typewritten speech given by Earl R. Boston before the Washington County (Ind.) Historical Society on June 27, 1964 regarding some early history of Kentucky and Indiana, his Boston family line following their arrival in Floyd County (Ind.), and the unanswered questions about his ancestors due to the confusion caused by so many in his family line having first names starting with "B".

Biographical / Historical
Earl Ray Boston was born November 9, 1925 in Washington County, Indiana to James and Bertha Boston. He married Shirley Ann Guthrie on August 18, 1946 following his service in the Army during World War II. He worked as a sewing machine mechanic and draftsman before working in the powder metal parts manufacturing industry in Indiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. He passed away at the age of 70 on September 26, 1996.
