Scope and Contents This collection includes one folder with a few documents and three account books of costs for Ambrose Ruddell's professional services. Folder 1 contains a hand-written legal document regarding the sale of property executed on August 21, 1865, between Ambrose G. Ruddell and Asher C. Brunson. There is also an undated, torn letter on Philadelphia University letterhead from L. Fairbanks to Dr. Ruddell and a land contract signed by President Zachary Taylor.

Scope and Contents The warranty deed conveys property in Vigo County, Indiana, from Chauncey Rose to William P. Hickman, on March 20, 1867. Mr. Hickman paid Mr. Rose $650.00 for the land. County Recorder John B. Meyer recorded the transaction on December 23, 1868, in Record 36, page 572. On the same date, Auditor William Paddock added his name to the document.

Scope and Contents This collection includes five original Fort Wayne, Indiana land grants ranging from 1836 to 1837, and one original warranty deed from 1857, from Ethel Peck. The land grant dated April 5, 1836 is stamped "President Andrew Jackson". The land grants dated March 15, 1837; March 20, 1837; and August 1, 1837 are stamped "President Martin Van Buren." The warranty deed is dated January 22, 1857.
