Joseph Watson letter

Scope and Contents This collection contains a July 5, 1850 letter written by Joseph Watson from Indianapolis, Indiana and sent to D.H. Hoover of Miamisburg, Ohio. In the letter, Watson mentions that he has been ill and "God only knows" whether he will recover. Due to his poor health, he is asking to settle their affairs and selling out his interest in a business in Ohio. Watson also mentions that "money still continues to be scarce here" and most people are buying on credit.
