Scope and Contents This collection contains three account books for a foundry owned by Charles C. Anderson of Jeffersonville, IN. Each book is indexed and occasionally contains bills and receipts. The foundry worked with such clients as the Jefferson City Schools, Jefferson Gas Company, Louisville Rolling Mill, U.S. General Hospital and the Indiana State Prison.

Cyrus C. Hines collection
Scope and Contents The collection consists principally of records of the Mars Hill and Indianapolis Gravel Road Company and the Bluff Creek Gravel Road Company, for both of which Hines served as an officer. Included are the companies' articles of association, minutes of meetings, correspondence, receipts, accounts, contracts, and officer election results (1861-1871). Also included are receipts and accounts for Hines' personal and family expenses.

Scope and Contents The collection includes one account book and a sales slip from a general store in Fountain County. The entries in the account book are dated 1855 and fill the first 38 pages of the day book. In the first two columns of each entry, reference is made by page number to another record book which is not part of this collection. An undated sales slip from J.W. McDermond’s Boston Store of Attica, Indiana is located inside the front cover of the account book.
