Scope and Contents This collection includes the July 16, 1999 agreement between Governor Frank O'Bannon and Governor Fumio Watanabe in English and Japanese as well as a handmade wooden box by artist, Osamu Watanabe, possibly created during 1998-1999. Osamu attended the Tochigi Prefectural School of Ceramics in Mashiko and later established a studio in New York City during 1978.

The first letter from John Frazier in Dublin, Indiana, was to his children and grandchildren, and was addressed to Joseph Hussey in Carmel, Indiana. The letter states that Evans was a "young man of color" of good moral character and it certified that he was a "free man" who intended to travel to the western states. The letter is signed by Elisha Coffin and 21 other citizens of Randolph County, North Carolina.

Albert Allen collection
