This collection consists of photocopies of two letters. In the May 1865 letter, George W. Blue tells his sister about the constant drilling of the regiment, his tiredness of the place of the camp, the felt absence of relatives, and the resignation of a first lieutenant. In the September 1865 letter, Hannah A. Blue writes of family matters, Iowa soil, Dan Dolan, the death of Jim Blue, and expresses the hope that George is at home.
