Scope and Contents This collection includes an 1862 letter written by John R. Wilson from Camp Dennison and sent to his wife in Muskingum County, Ohio. The heading of the letter gives the date as "Wednesday the 24/ 62." Since John enlisted with his regiment on August 26th, the letter was most likely written in September.
