The image shows 24 bicycle patrolmen from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and three men in civilian clothing, posed in front of the department's central station building.

Scope and Contents The collection includes the contents of four scrapbooks documenting Baltzell’s career, particularly as a federal judge presiding over murder, bootlegging, and other cases, including the murder trial of George W. Barrett for killing an FBI agent (1935-1936). Also included is a notebook listing his cases with names of jurors and trial outcomes (1932-1935).
