This collection consists of two scrapbooks and two folders of loose clippings from William Blodgett dating from 1852 to 1895. The scrapbooks contain short news clippings, which are undated for the most part. Topics include sports, police corruption, articles about Blodgett, and a variety of unrelated pieces.

Biographical Note

William Henry Blodgett was born on February 7, 1857, on a houseboat operated by his father between LaSalle, Illinois, and Chicago. At the age of 19, Blodgett came to Indiana, where he worked as a clerk in Anderson and later worked with a newspaper in Richmond. During his last 37 years, Blodgett worked for The Indianapolis News.
