Scope and Contents This collection contains a photocopy of a letter from Cathcart to her childhood friend, Helen (Edson) Ennis. Included is a map of the neighborhood in which they grew up (at the intersection of Pennsylvania and 9th Streets, Indianapolis), along with a list of the people who lived in area at the time. The date referenced by the map is unknown.

Scope and Contents The collection consists of copies of the journal of Elijah Evan Edwards while a student at Indiana Asbury University (now DePauw University) at Greencastle, Indiana. Within the journal, Edwards describes life as a student and the cost, societies, and activities while there.

Scope and Contents This single typed page includes information about Samuel Wells's trip from his home in Schoolcraft, Michigan, in the fall of 1851, to Louisville, Kentucky. He traveled with his brother. They took the stage to White Pigeon, Michigan, where they got the train for South Bend. They were late arriving because the baggage car was "derailed near Bristol by a cow." In South Bend, people greeted the first passenger train's arrival with bonfires and drums. Scope and Contents The collection consists of a typed transcript of a daily log of miles traveled, expenses, and experiences during a move from “our old habitation” through Martinsville, Indiana from August through September of 1826 to “our own cabin”.

Scope and Contents This collection includes photocopied pages from the Violett House Hotel register. They list hotel guests from August 4, 1866 through January 1, 1867. Each registrant recorded his/her name, residence, and destination. The signatures and other information are legible. None of the pages are numbered, but dates are given for each new day.
