Scope and Contents This volume contains a number of sketches by Libbie Coughlen in St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Vigo County, Indiana from roughly 1864 to 1866 covering a variety of subjects, including scenes at St. Mary-of-the-Woods Institute. Most of the sketches are done using pencil and/or watercolor and focus on landscapes, crosses, flowers, buildings and exercises in perspective.
