Scope and Contents This collection contains a transcript and an audiotape reel of an oral history with Edward Beecher Bender conducted with Tom Krasean for the Indiana State Library on October 31, 1968. Bender discusses growing up on a farm, his association with the Ku Klux Klan and Indiana politics during the 1920s, the Boone County R.E.M.C. and farming in the 1960s.
Scope and Contents This collection includes a transcript of an oral memoir in German, documents, and photographs from Erich L. Riesterer ranging from 1900 to 1977 regarding military service with German troops occupying the Ukraine during World War I. The oral interview was conducted by his son, Berthold P. Ashworth, conducted by Thomas Krasean for the Indiana State Library Oral History Project on September 2, 1968. In the interview, Ashworth discusses his military service and homesteading in Kansas.
Scope and Contents The collection contains transcripts of interviews and audio recordings from the Gary Public Library about the early days of Gary, Indiana ranging from 1955 to 1970. Eight of the folders contain items that were part of a series titled "Gary Public Library presents Living Voices of the Pinoeers," many of which were broadcast on the radio for the Gary "Golden Jubliee" in 1956. There is also a recording from a Lion Club of Gary banquet in honor of Al Greene.

The newsletter contains transcriptions of the group's first attempt at creating oral histories, with different members of the community relating stories about family members who were early pioneers of Porter County, Indiana and discussions of the county's historic buildings. One interview of note relates an older gentleman's rememberances from his childhood of his time spent with Lew Wallace.
