Biographical / Historical
John Sargent was born in January 1819 in Kentucky. In March of 1850 he married Tabitha Jane Sowers in Marion County Indiana. They had two children Jacob and Mary Sargent. John A Sargent died October 26th, 1901. He owned and bought land in the Lawrence Township area of Marion County. Sargent Road in Lawrence township is named for the area where the family lived.
