Biographical Note
John F. Concannon was born in September, 1873 in Ireland to Michael and Mary Concannon. His family came to the United States in 1874 and settled at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Vigo County, Indiana. Concannon was educated in the Terre Haute public schools and became a grocer and meat packer in Indianapolis. He married Nellie Darmody on January 11, 1898. Concannon died at the age of 63 on March 7, 1937.
