Scope and Contents This letter, which is a copy, was written by Thomas Williams in November 1847 to his father, mother, sisters and brother (or brothers). He wrote about his Mexican War service. Having left Madison on October 31, he went to Jeffersonville, then on the rivers to New Orleans.
