This collection comprises a letter sent to Samuel P. Williams in Lima, LaGrange County, Indiana dated December 11, 1840 from his brother Thomas Williams and his mother, M. Williams, regarding family life and news.

There are also pages from an Allisonville, Indiana general store account book in 1838 (OB044).

Biographical Note

Samuel P. Williams was born about 1815 in Connecticut. He later moved to Lima, LaGrange County, Indiana. He married and he and his wife had at least four children: Mary C., Ella J., Catherine, and Jane P.
