Hotel advertising cards

Scope and Contents Three hotel advertising cards are mounted on cardboard, three-hole-punched page, of which there are eleven. All of the cards have drawings of the hotel which is advertised. Most of the cards are 2 1/2" high and 6" wide. The oldest one is 1894 (St. Nicholas Hotel, Decatur, Ill.) and the newest are 1917 (The Samer, Salina, Kansas, and The Lee-Huckins Hotel, Oklahoma City, Okla.). Scope and Contents The collection contains family letters from John T. Barton from Harveysburg, Ohio; Shenandoah County, Virginia; Parkersburg, (West) Virginia; and Warren County, and Mier, Indiana. Also included are business papers, receipts, and estate administration papers of Barton’s son, John T. Barton. There is also a Charles A. Osenbaugh account book (1906-1927) and an undated tintype of Ozenbaugh.

Farm account book of John T. Barton, ranging from 1898 to 1930 is also included (V216).
