Hotel advertising cards

Scope and Contents Three hotel advertising cards are mounted on cardboard, three-hole-punched page, of which there are eleven. All of the cards have drawings of the hotel which is advertised. Most of the cards are 2 1/2" high and 6" wide. The oldest one is 1894 (St. Nicholas Hotel, Decatur, Ill.) and the newest are 1917 (The Samer, Salina, Kansas, and The Lee-Huckins Hotel, Oklahoma City, Okla.). Scope and Contents The collection contains family letters from John T. Barton from Harveysburg, Ohio; Shenandoah County, Virginia; Parkersburg, (West) Virginia; Warren County, Indiana; and Mier, Indiana. Also included are business papers, receipts, and estate administration papers of Barton’s son, John T. Barton. The volumes consist of farm account books ranging from 1900 to 1927. There is also a Charles A. Osenbaugh account book, 1906-1927 and an undated tintype of Ozenbaugh.
