The collection contains family letters from John T. Barton from Harveysburg, Ohio; Shenandoah County, Virginia; Parkersburg, (West) Virginia; Warren County, Indiana; and Mier, Indiana. Also included are business papers, receipts, and estate administration papers of Barton’s son, John T. Barton. The volumes consist of farm account books ranging from 1900 to 1927.
