Scope and Contents Robert Haycock interviewed Henry Alva Ellis, aged 82, who lived with his daughter Mrs. Robert Park in Danville, Illinois, on Septembetr 15, 1969. Mr. Ellis told about his employment at the Greentown glass plant. He roomed at the Commercial Hotel, at the corner of Meridian and Grant streets, and traveled home to Gas City on the week-ends to stay with his parents. The Greentown Glass Factory ran 24 hours a day during its ten-year life span, from 1893 to 1903. This interview is three typed...
