Scope and Contents This collection includes cards from a playing card set of Indiana authors created by the Indianapolis News in circa 1903. The cards feature portraits of thirteen authors along with their year of birth and year of death if the author was deceased. Along with the authors name, the cards list the titles of three of their works. On the reverse side of the card is an image of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument of Indianapolis and words, "...
