Scope and Contents This collection is one item, a certificate issued by Thomas A. Hendricks, Governor of the State of Indiana, “To all who shall see these Presents” authorizing John B. Cromer to serve as a Notary Public in Washington County. The Governor signed the document on January 18, 1875. His signature is very neat and legible. John E.
