Scope and Contents This collection includes a soft-cover composition book used by Beatrice White to compile various songs and hymns starting in 1902. Along with the 31 handwritten copies of songs, the book also has a clipping of a January 21, 1917 article from the Indianapolis Star about Sarah Flowers Adams and her famous hymn, "Nearer, My God, to Thee." There are two additional handwritten notes by White in the back of the book, one dated May 12, 1902 that mentions it...

Scope and Contents This collection includes a copy of Camp-Fire Songs, a booklet owned by a John W. Hartman containing 27 songs arranged by Lot Abraham of Mount Pleasant, Iowa and published by John B. Alden as part of the Elzevir Library (VII, No. 328) in 1888. The front cover of the booklet notes that the songs were sung by Abraham, [William H.H.] Willeford and a man named Williams, all of Mount Pleasant.
