This eight-page, typed copy of Daniel Robert Dunihue's travel diary tells of his trip to Canada from Monday, July 19, to Tuesday, July 27, 1830.
On July 25, 1830, the author of the journal recorded: "I wrote a letter to my daughter Harriet." He mentions, on page 7, "found my old friend Col. Mark in fine spirits, with a crowded house." Therefore, it is most likely that the author of the journal was the senior Daniel Dunihue.
