Scope and Contents This collection includes photocopies of an October 1, 1887 letter written to R.D.O. Smith in Washington D.C. by Julian B. Hubbell in which he describes his and Clara Barton's experiences at the 4th International Conference of the Red Cross Society in Carlsruhe, Germany. Also included are photocopies of an April 23, 1888 letter sent to Smith by Hubbell with an added paragraph by Clara and a separate letter she wrote to "Gussie" regarding the purchase of a house.

Scope and Contents This collection includes a letter and envelope sent to Elizabeth R. (McRae) New (Mrs. John C. New) from the Indianapolis Firemen's Benefit Association and dated February 19, 1885. The letter is a thank-you for her "kind remembrance" and "bounteous repast" she supplied to the firemen.

Scope and Contents This collection includes five typed reports issued by Community Surveys, Inc. on August 15, 1947 to assist with decision-making for the budgeting of funds in 1948 by the Indianapolis Community Fund. The reports were issued for five local philanthropic organizations: (1) The Catholic Charities Bureau; (2) Children's Bureau of the Indianapolis Orphan Asylum; (3) The Family Service Association; (4) General Protestant Orphans Home; and (5) Lutheran Child Welfare Association.
