Scope and Contents This collection includes photocopies of two letters written by Joseph Rothrock while he served with Company H, 81st Indiana Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Sent to his sister Rebecca at Sharp's Mill, Harrison County, Indiana, the first letter is dated September 24, 1862 and was sent from Louisville, Kentucky and the second letter is dated May 27, 1863 and sent from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
