Biographical / Historical
Charles H. Wiebke was born March 25, 1866, to Charles H. and Mary C. (Osterloh) Wiebke. He had three brothers, Henry, Edward, and Frederick, and two half siblings, Benjamin C. and Edith Wiebke. Wiebke married Lena Ray on September 3, 1891, in Indianapolis, Indiana. They had two children, Lena E. and Lola M. The Wiebkes ran a grocery store at 16th and Montcalm streets. Charles Wiebke died on May 29, 1937 in Indianapolis.
Lena Ray was born June 12, 1867 in Boone County, Indiana to David and Sarah (Wheat) Ray. She had three siblings: Joseph, Vassalona, Orthelo, and David M. Lena Ray Wiebke died on September 4, 1937, mere months after the death of her husband Charles, in Indianapolis.
