Biographical / Historical

Harry H. Martindale was born July 29, 1887 in Boone County, Indiana to Martin and Carrie Howard Martindale. Harry has 2 siblings: Elizabeth and Estella Martindale. He married Ella Seldon in 1923 and after Ella's death in 1935, Josephine Scherer in 1937. Martindale was a Christian Church minister and moved around Indiana and then later relocated to Vero Beach, Florida. He enjoyed researching his extended family and wrote John Martindell (or Martindale) Cordwainer, of Philadelphia and Some of His Descendants and transcribed many cemetery records in Indiana. Harry H. Martindale died in November of 1969 in Vero Beach, Florida.
