Scope and Contents This collection contains the Civil War diary (photocopy) of George M. Collins. It begins on January 13, 1865 and continues until July 15, 1865. There are a few sporadic entries and notes after that date. In his diary, Collins discusses life in the camps, hunger, sickness, disease, his desire to return home, and the capture of Jefferson Davis.
