Scope and Contents This collection includes a hand-written journal and photograph of the journal's author, John Hise. The journal begins in April 1854, although there are short summaries of the months January, February and March. It's final entry is on January 1, 1860. There are entires for nearly every day, beginning with a description of the day's weather.
