Scope and Contents This collection includes photocopies of sixteen pages from the daybook of Hoffman and Schlosser of Attica, Indiana. The pages copied range from October 31 to December 21, 1835. The collection also includes a typewritten list of approximately seventy five different items, such as "1 pr. boots," "1 phial pepermint," "1 needle case," and "1 doz. herring," copied from an account book of a general store. The undated document also notes that payment was made by "eggs, load of wood, cabbage, etc."...
