Biographical Note
John O. Skelton, born circa 1810, was a merchant in Cass County, Indiana. He and his partner, Ashford Carter, had a retail business called Skelton and Carter, which opened in 1831. Skelton married Elizabeth A. Vigus on 24 September 1838 in Cass County.
