Biographical Note

The Indianapolis Industrial Exposition, a "permanent" exhibit of the city's manufactured products was devised by Edwin S. Pearce, president of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce (1943-1945). The exhibition formally opened in Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 7, 1946.
