This collection includes a July 3, 1903 handwritten letter from Clarissa Curtis to her nephew containing some genealogical information about the Curtis family. Along with the letter there is a supplemental listing of birthdates of members of the Curtis family dating back to 1795.

Biographical Note

Clarissa Curtis was born on October 30th of 1824. Her grandfather and grandmother were Captain Andrew Curtis and Patience Nichols Curtis, both came from Connecticut when they were young. Presumably Andrew Curtis served in the American military during the Revolutionary War.
