Edward H. Shoop papers
Collection — Folder: S3104
Identifier: S3104
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of two documents, both dated November 17, 1922. The first, written in ink, is the last will and testament of Edward H. Shoop of Steuben County, Indiana, in which he bequeaths to his wife Della, to Gilbert and to [Kedirly?], after a settlement of Edward's person debts, his rights and interests in real estate and a store building in Sabettia, Kansas -- those interests being an undivided third -- and all monies in the Angola Bank Trust Company in Indiana and the First Bank of Long Island in California. Edward's son Vernon was to receive the principal of a loan on which he was still paying, the unpaid interest going to Della, Edward's wife. Robert Bresson of Saettia, Kansas, was appointed executor of this last will and testament.
A second document (also dated November 17, 1922), written in pencil, is ether a draft of or an addendum to the document written in ink. The only variation between the provisions of the two documents is that Della receives all of Edward's share of the store building in Sabettia, Kansas, without division with any other party.
