Biographical / Historical
The Baptist Church of Jesus Christ on Harberts Creek was founded in Jefferson County, Indiana in 1818 and began with twenty-one members meeting in a small log house. At the turn of the century the church's name was changed to Wirt Baptist Church. The church is associated with the American Baptist Association and is still an active house of worship today.
