Administrative History

The Indianapolis Athletic Club (IAC) is a residential community located at 350 North Meridan Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The general manager in 1977 was Kenneth Brown. The historic Renaissance Revival building was constructed in 1921 and designed by Robert Daggett. IAC is unique among condo developments because of its atheltic programs--in the early 1950s, IAC's swimming program was the largest in the country and sent several swimmers to the Olympics--and extensive athletic facilities, including a basketball gym, fitness center, racquetball and squash courts, and virtual golf.
