Historical Note
"The White Rose Among the Miamis" is a pageant based upon Winger's book, "The Lost Sister among the Miamis", a biography on Frances Slocum. Frances Slocum was captured as a child by the Miami Indians from her Pennsylvania home in 1778. She was found in 1837 living in Indiana among the Miamis, who called her the White Rose of the Miamis.
