Historical Note
Paul Henry Leach was born August 1, 1907 in Dorchester, Illinois to Harvey Dean and Lula (Dillman) Leach. His father was a teacher and Church of Christ minister and the family moved to Bloomington, Indiana in the 1920s. Leach married Erma L. Brown on June 10, 1931 and they had two children. He worked for 30 years at the Showers Furniture Company as a clerk and transportation manager before becoming an accountant at Bloomington Hospital. Following retirement, he and his wife, Erma, moved to Columbus, Indiana in 1975. Leach died at the age of 74 on November 14, 1981.
