Historical Note
The Cincinnati and Fort Wayne Railroad Company slowed in construction during 1854 because of difficulties involving contractors. In 1857, further difficulties involved the cancellation of depot grounds. By, 1866, the annual report of the company stated, "There has been no work in the way of construction for the last year."
