Biographical Note
Thomas Joseph Barry was a professor of journalism at the University of Notre Dame in 1941. He married Joanna Cecilia Sennett in 1931 in St. Joseph County, Indiana and they lived in South Bend, Indiana in 1936. He had a Ph.D. in 1943 and wrote the dissertation, "A Biographical and Bibliographical Dictionary of Indiana Authors" in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Master of Arts degree. It was published by the University of Notre Dame in 1943.
