This collection contains correspondence and documents of Georgia Rogers Pott and includes letters sent from family and friends (1859-1875); a "Notice to Teachers" from Cyrus Smith, School Examiner of Marion County, Indiana (September 13, 1862); her teacher's license for Marion County (October 11, 1862); and a letter of of recommendation written by Charles N. Todd (October 13, 1862).

Biographical Note
Georgia E. Rogers was born on March 3, 1842 in what is now West Virginia. She was an 1861 graduate of the McLean Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married Charles Pott on December 15, 1870 and continued to live in Indianapolis until her death at the age of 78 on March 24, 1920.
