Scope and Contents
This collection includes the following items related to Boone County, Indiana: a program for the Free Exhibit of Vegetables and Flowers contest for school children sponsored by the Civic League and held at the Lebanon Courthouse in September 1917, a copy of the May 1920 "Know Your Community Better Study" report created for Sugar Creek Township and Thorntown under the auspicies of the American Red Cross, and Mrs. Myrtle Pratt's handwritten history of the "Old Union Church" in Jackson Township dated December 1938.

Historical Note
Boone County, Indiana was organized in 1830 and named for frontiersman Daniel Boone. The county has twelve townships: Center, Clinton, Eagle, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Marion, Perry, Sugar Creek, Union, Washington, and Worth. Jamestown served as the first county seat before it was moved to Lebanon around 1833. Other towns in the county include Advance, Thorntown, Whitestown, and Zionsville.
