Biographical note
Andrew Wood first came to Indiana in August 1828 when he traveled from Kentucky with Col. Ziba Holt to purchase land in Carroll County. He married Nancy Holt, daughter of Col.Holt, on September 7, 1828 and then returned to live in Indiana in 1829. The Woods had two sons, Ben and Ziba. Following Andrew's death in July 1943, Nancy married Dr. William Tichenor in November 1849.
