Biographical Note

Arcas E. Hollowell (A.E.) was born on December 10, 1854 in Orange County, Indiana to Lindley and Sarah Hollowell. He married Nancy Wright (1855-1917), daughter of Newton and Margaret Wright, on September 26, 1878 and they had three children; May, Fred, and a child who died in infancy. After Nancy's death on November 18, 1917, he married Catherine L. Mathers (1863-1957) on February 19, 1919. Hollowell was a farmer and businessman and died on February 2, 1933.
