Biographical Note
Ora Bright Cox was born April 18, 1889 in Lawrence County, Indiana to John H. (or W.) and Sarah Houston Bright. She was the youngest of five children and a descendant of the pioneer family of James Houston. She married Linder C. Cox October 27, 1915. and they had one child, a son John. She taught in Lawrence County schools and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Magna Charte Dames (descendants of the Mayflower). She died October 14, 1980 and is buried in the Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford, Indiana.
